Free Bottle Refusal Training
Why is my breastfed baby refusing a bottle?
If breastfeeding is going well but bottle feeding suddenly feels impossible, there may be a reason — and it may have very little to do with the bottle itself.
Enter your email below and I’ll show you what may be happening, what to look for, and why your baby’s feeding reflexes matter.

If you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to make sense…
Maybe your baby:
- breastfeeds beautifully but turns away from the bottle
- used to take a bottle and now refuses it
- cries, arches, pushes the nipple out, or simply won’t suck
- will take a tiny amount and then stop
- seems hungry but still won’t drink
You may have been told to try a different bottle, nipple, temperature, position, caregiver, or feeding schedule.
And sometimes those things help.
But when they don’t, the real question becomes:
What is your baby actually doing — or not doing — when the bottle enters their mouth?
That’s what I’ll help you understand in this free training.

Hi, I’m Shannon.
I created Bottles on Purpose to help families understand bottle feeding through the lens of a baby’s natural feeding reflexes — rather than relying on endless trial and error.
I’ve worked with families whose babies breastfeed well but struggle to bottle feed, and again and again, understanding how the baby is feeding changes the conversation.
In this short video, I’ll show you where I would start.
